9th – 13th September

Scotland isn’t short of famous historical places, none more so than the Firths of Forth and Clyde. An area which undoubtedly shaped Britain’s heritage and played a significant role in the development of the modern world. This tour offers some true treasures, from being hoisted thirty five metres by the Falkirk Wheel to admiring the amazing engineering work of the three bridges on a Forth River cruise. After years of repair 2023 may even see the return of the steamship Sir Walter Scott if you are lucky.

Whilst on tour, the following program includes;

Loch Katrine and The Trossachs - Journey through the glorious Trossachs and hop aboard for a cruise on Loch Katrine. Sit back, relax and listen to the tales & legends of the loch narrated by a crew member. The day continues through Rob Roy MacGregor country to Callander and finally historical Stirling with its famous castle.

The Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel and Three Bridges Cruise - This morning we visit two of Scotland’s top attractions - The Kelpies, and the nearby award winning Falkirk Wheel, where you board a boat to be hoisted 35 metres on the world’s only rotating boatlift. Afterwards, the tour heads towards Edinburgh for a wonderful cruise under the three famous Bridges, spanning nearly 140 years of Scottish engineering. The latest bridge opened in 2017 and is the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world.

Five Highland Lochs - A magnificent day of sightseeing awaits - Loch Lomond, then across towards the Arrochar Alps and Loch Long. Over the “Rest & Be Thankful” with free time in the ancient town of Inveraray, on Loch Fyne, with it’s castle dominating the skyline. After lunch, turning north the scenery changes as you enter the Highlands. Photo stop at Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe before turning south into Perthshire & along the shoreline of Loch Earn, stopping in the characterful town of Crieff.
